The Healthy Bite Solution:

When your teeth are straight and properly aligned they function well. When your teeth are crowded and misaligned you have increased risk of premature and excessive wear, gum recession, loose teeth, jaw joint problems and teeth breaking. Orthodontic treatment like Invisalign® realigns your teeth to a healthier and safer bite relationship.

Many people clench and grind their teeth, sometimes even unconsciously. This habit is called bruxism. Bruxism increases your risk of premature wear, teeth breaking, gums receding and jaw joint discomfort. Bite guards are recommended to reduce your risk due to bruxism.

The Bruxism Solution

Bruxism is the clenching and grinding of your teeth that can lead to premature and excessive tooth wear, receding gums, broken teeth, jaw joint problems, loose teeth and migraine headaches.

Night guards and your effective personal stress management strategies are effective tools to control and manage bruxism.
The NTI Tension Suppression System will decrease your jaw joint strain, protect your teeth and help to relax your jaw joint muscles.

Sometimes orthodontic treatment is recommended to improve your bite relationship. Please refer to Invisalign®

THE TONGUE TRICK - Reduce Your Risk of Bruxism

Many people clench or grind their teeth as a habit or stress management strategy – and many have no idea they do this other than by being told “You grind your teeth when you sleep!”

What is the Tongue Trick? Place your tongue lightly behind your upper front teeth just where your gums touch your teeth. When you do this, your teeth separate slightly and all your jaw muscles relax. The trick is to make this your ‘go to’ position while driving, watching TV, reading, working at your computer and trying to fall asleep. It’s free, you can’t leave it at home and it works!
